Black Locust, wild black cherry, clover and nucs

74*, Sunny, calm 5/30/15
Black Locust blooming behind the hives. Some Wild Black Cherry as well.
To complete the trio there is also a good start to the white clover bloom.
All three are not yet at full bloom.

Today was also nuc pick-up day. I snapped this photo just before the new owner of these nucs
arrived to take them home. 5 frames of bees, brood, honey and as strong as they could be without running out of room. They need to be placed in their permanent full sized hives NOW!

Some farm friends and next door neighbors of our bees.......

May flowers

It finally feels like Spring and it's finally looking like Spring!
Henbit, dandelion, maple, ash, willow, lilac, some holly's, crabapple, early apples, some Russian Olive are showing their May flowers. And the bees are fond of them! My only wish is for a little rain because boy it's dry out there.
